Gaekwad has come out and slammed Indian coach Greg Chappell for his comments regarding Irfan Pathan's lack of form and loss in confidence.

He believes that the coach is not performing his duties well, "It is the coaches' job to instill confidence and rectify mistakes in a player", Said Gaekwad. Anshuman also believes that dropping him from the first test against the Windies didn't help the cause as it is bound to bring down Pathan's confidence even more. 

Andy Roberts helped out the young Indian Pacemen instead and helped him in his return for the 2nd Test.
